My husband's left hand index finger has pain on the left side (the side next to the middle finger). It seems as if a nerve or vein is swollen. If I touch it, a small bump can be felt as though something is stuck in the vein. Also, the vein on the hand joining the index finger shows blue in color. It is a painful today although it was present since last one week or so. Similar pain was felt in the middle finger but it's reduced now though a feeling of something stuck in vein (or bump) is there. But it's not painful on this finger. My question is that I don't know what kind of a specialist I need to consult for such a case. Is it ortho doctor or general physician will do?? Please help
