My query is regarding my Mother. Age: 47, Height: 5.2, Weight: 70 Kg.
Problem: Intermittent Pain in feet and ankle region after walking for some distance or doing any physical work. She also has callus feet. Pain is of high intensity often lasts for a 1 or 2 days.
She visited an orthopaedic a few days ago, he prescribed pain killers and anti-inflammatory medications (Nortriptyline & Pregabalin combination). She also had X-ray examination. There will be a slight swelling after physical work or walking.
My queries are:
1. Is the pain due to any underlying inflammation?
2. Is the pain a result of
Vitamin D deficiency and excess
uric acid in the blood?
3. Is it an indication of osteoporosis symptoms due to
calcium deficiency that occur commonly in women of age >40?
I need your suggestion to further proceed about the treatment strategy
