Pain in chest and left arm
My mother is complaining chest pain and left arm pain. This pain started all of sudden. There is no relief since previous night. Please suggest. There is no clinic open in my hometown due to lockdown.

Hi
- ECG need to be done
- Does she have any other disease for
which she is on treatment
- also sometimes it might be due to gas
So try to give her some antacids and see wether it gets relieved
- But is always better to rule out Angina by doing ECG
- Some fast test like Trop T can be done ( its a simple test using small amount of blood) if heart attack suspected
- But clinical evaluation is must in her case considering her age
Please try to reach some doctor

- Angina/ chest pain can be triggered by physical exertion, anxiety or emotional stress or eating a heavy meal
So to alleviate angina symptoms:
- rest as soon as you feel symptoms coming on
- pace yourself and take regular breaks
- reduce and manage stress
- avoid eating large meals.
