Hi, if it is due to muscle spasm along with back of knee calf muscles will also start paining. It can also occurs due to tendon injury etc. In arthritis usually swellings will present. If pain is chronic you need complete evaluation. Go for xray knee joint and elbow joint. Consult orthopedic surgeon for furthur evaluation and treatment.
