Pain fever and hardening in the gluteal

Asked for Male, 21 Years

Hi sir...i was injected with spasmo proxyvon forte in the IM in left gluteal region.After 10 days it started paining and hardining in the injected site..so i consultant my physician he gave me an Paracetamol and cephalosporin IV..he advised me to do cold sponging..and he prescribed ibuprofen and amoxiclav..but still i have pain and fever.

Hello.. Well it's quite possible that you have got abscess due to that...Is there any hardening in the area of injection? How many days amoxickav have you fiNished...If completed the course and still hasn't subsided then yu meet a physician back as you may require drainage of pus... Thank you
