Hello Dr, My father recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. Please suggest, can we go with PAE treatment or surgery? Which one is best for long term and best results.

Hi    Prostate artery embolisation is a procedure followed for benign proststic hyperplasia and not for prostate cancer. Also one should get evaluated for the stage of disease with Mri pelvis(multi parametric MRI) and PET CT. Surgery or radiotherapy along with androgen deprivation  therapy can be considered for localised disease. For metastatic disease surgery or definitive radiotherapy do not play any role
