I have over retained tooth and in a day or two it turned black. What does that mean? Shall i go for extraction? It is not a complete tooth only the edge is what i can see poking through upper gum

If the edge of the tooth is only poking through your upper gum, I doubt it's difficult to save the tooth. Better u can go for the extraction.
