One Week Old baby not pooping
My one week newborn is not pooping from last 36 hours . He use to poop regularly for every 3 -5 hours until his 6th day, but now is not pooping from last 36 hours. He is feeding both breast and formula but 80% is breastfeeding only. He is releasing gas (farting) regularly. Can you please advise if it is normal or not ?

Don't worry if the baby is  not vomiting , has no distension of abdomen , is active and feeding well . Occasionally constipation takes place in formula fed babies even if majorly you are giving breast milk.

Constipation is normal in newborns and infants. You can try glycerine rectal pills, for motion to pass. If child is feeding well, active, no pblm
Health Tips
If any abdominal distension present, consult a pediatrician.
