Omnocortil syrup is given for cough
Hi My 2.5 year old female baby had high fever and it got reduced after we gave augmentin duo syrup. However she still has runny nose and wet cough. We gave relent syrup 2.5ml x 3 times a day and brozeet ls syrup but dint work. Doctor has prescribed omnocortil 2.5ml twice a day along with Sinarest and Kofarest syrups Pls advise is it safe Baby weight is 9.5kgs. Urine and motion passing normally Food intake normal

Short course is safe .must be clinically indicated that s why ur doctor might have started

It is best to ask this to your doctor who has prescribed it. Omnacortil is a systemic steroid, short courses are given in allergic diseases. I strongly feel your doctor must have judged the safety before prescribing the medicine.
