Oily or greasy dandruff
Hello, am harry
i have oily skin and oily dandruff its not flaking but white creamy greasy substance is wat am getting when i scrach my head but past months i was taking bath in the hot water and shampooed my head daily i think this y of frequest usage of shampoo i got this problem of over active oil glands. even i found this waxy substance is spreading to my fore head and in back my ears but its not reddish or itching
so can any one plz help me to cure this condition
am really so sad of this problem to me
so please help me doctors

. Greetings. SEBORRHOEA CAPITIS/ SEBORRHOIEC DERMATITIS OR DANDRUFF is a chronic problem. Please note. Avoid using oils on scalp. This acts as food for fungus causing dandruff. You can apply it only at the hair part and not the scalp for short durations if you wish to. Secondly wash hair with antifungal / low strength corticosteroid based shampoos. Use maintenance shampoos regularly. You may need a course of oral antifungals if your condition is severe. See a dermatologist near you. Hope this helps. Warm regards Dr Govind S Mittal.
