My friend has undergone a scoliosis surgery 4 weeks before... right after the surgery there was total numbness and no movement in right leg. However off late with physiotherapy the lower limb has got some sensation and he is able to do some movements. What is the cause of this & when can he get complete leg sensation

It's one of the complications associated with scoliosis correction surgery , due to spinal shock , if it improving its a good sign , power improvement takes few months, requires physiotherapy, consult your orthopedic surgeon he will suggest

Hi any neurological issues improvement Will be always gradual... Only hemorrhage or increased icp condition you can see immediate and abrupt changes... Have some patience ... Follow up with neurologist...
