NT scan mandatory with pentamarker test?

Our first ultrasound result is normal. but gynecologist prescribed NT scan with pentamarker test at 12 week of pregnancy. Is it necessary of above test, i rearly finding any pathalogy having pentamarker test.

Yes the NT scan or nuchal translucency is an important test over ultrasound. The second ultrasound is useful in not only diagnosing fetal abnormalities but also helps in ruling out other parameters like amniotic volume and any other defects. Listen to your obgyn and do the test as advised, its not unnecessary and gives new and useful information to the obstetrician.
