Not attending
Apart from going to school he enjoys playing, outing, and spending time watching tv but he just can't skip the school and do all these that too since one month hes doing like this. Is there anything related to the age as 2 months ago he recently turned 10. One of our doctors said that there will be changes in hormones. We never stressed him regarding marks or compared with others. One thing he keeps repeating is that he's scared of exams. Thanks Harsha

Hi ,your worry is understandable . Since he has stopped going to school there is something that is bothering him about school.  Children usually confide to someone they feel close and safe with. You can also approach a child psychologist

It's common for a 10-year-old to enjoy play and leisure activities. Fear of exams may stem from performance anxiety. Hormonal changes can impact emotions. Create a supportive environment, address exam fears gently, and consider consulting a psychologist to help him navigate stress and build confidence in handling academic challenges.

It's not uncommon for kids to struggle with expressing their concerns, especially when it comes to school-related stress. Your son's fear of exams could be a sign of anxiety. To build trust and encourage him to open up, try talking to him compassionately and in different ways by showing genuine care and patience, creating an environment where he feels safe sharing his feelings. Additionally, you can explore art therapy as a creative outlet for him to express himself. Sometimes, artistic activities can help children communicate emotions they find challenging to verbalize. While hormonal changes may play a role at his age, it's essential to address his specific fears and anxieties. Apart from that, you can continue to support his interests in playing, outings, and watching TV. It's crucial to strike a balance between school responsibilities and enjoyable activities. If the issue persists, seek guidance from a child psychologist or counselor,
