My mother has bleeding from nose, and this happen 3rd time, plz let me know what is the reason behind this? Is this by high BP, or any other problem and her platelets rate is also high around 12lakh . Doctor suggest for bone marrow test. Why they asked for this test ? Is there any serious illness? plz suggest

Bleeding may occur with high bp causing capillaries to be fragile , so if any minor trauma to nose or its mucosa may cause it.
If ply count is 12lakhs its very high.

Considering the age and elevated platelet count not only is haematology tests important, they become a must. You have to go for proper investigations .As far as nose bleeding is concerned go for ENT consultation to rule out any bleeding source that can be cauterized or it can have a direct association with your platelet disorder
