Normal BP but over 100 heart rate
Hi there. I was on beta blockers like concor and nebi 2.5 for 3 years and noticed significant weight gain. I was suggested by my gp to stop it as my Bp is usually 110 or 120 over 70 or 77. The heart rate is still over 100 when resting. I had done ecgs, blood tests and 2d echo and it was normal. What advice would you give me for the heart rate?

The mentioned BP range is normal yet we have to confirm if it was due to the regular intake of medications. You can stop BP tablets for a week and check BP after 7days ,if BP is still in the normal range you can stop . In Regards to heart rate ,in few people sinus tachycardia is normal .Unless associated with other findings ,I would suggest you can do a 24hr holter test to rule out no other rhythm problems . If reports r normal yearly check up with cardiologist is more than enough
