Non stop hicuups
My father is having non stop hiccups.He is 76 years old.The hiccups trigger once he undergo any treatment and take antibiotics. Recent incident was of him getting admitted to hospital for having fever for more than 8 days and there he was given antibiotics.This resulted into hiccups and now its 7 days when he is having hiccups.His fever has gone though. Dictors advised for Mucain Gel and Baclofen.However I have now stopped Baclofen as it causes dizziness and fatigue in him. Previous illness- -2012-Viral Menengitis -2015-Angioplasty (1 stent).His latest Stress ECHO report came out fine. -Twice Pneumonia in last 5 years -Type 2 Diabetes-On tablets and not insulin -Blood Pressure Is there some medication which is safe for him to take to stop hiccups on immediate basis ,without him feeling any dizziness or drowsiness? Would be grateful.

I will recommend Syrup Sparacid two spoons three times a day half an hour before meals.
