Non healing oral ulcer since last 1 year
Good evening doctor. My father developed oral ulcers on both sides of his tongue last year. The ulcers on 1 side have resolved but the ulcers on the other side are not resolving. He doesn't smoke or drink. Also he has GERD, Fatty liver. We have consulted with many doctors but none of them is recommending any biopsy. I am worried if it is something serious. Please help us. The ulcer is neither increasing in size nor in number. At times he only feels some spices on his ulcer as well as in his ear while eating normally spicy food. Is it a matter of concern or it is very normal.

If the doctor is not suggesting biopsy that means it should be benign ( not cancer) ulcers... there are various reasons for ulcers in the tongue most common being vitamins deficiency...
Next Steps
A multivitamin and a healthy dietary habits should help..if still there is no improvement then we can look at other factors..
