Hi, I am sorry you are feeling this way. I am sure this is confusing for you. Dreams are way for your subconscious to be telling you about something that needs to be healed and released. It looks like there is something or someone emotionally chasing you. It means that there are some unprocessed past incidents which needs to be released in therapy. Once they are emotionally released you will not be seeing the same dreams. A safe space and a trance and some Deep healing emotional release work should do the trick here.

Hi Since past few months you are often having dreams of huge ocean tides chasing you. The dream could indicate your fear anxiety, and disturbing thoughts and memories about a traumatic event or something that is bothering you. You are also under medication, it is known that certain medications can cause nightmares. If you are often having nightmares talk to your psychiatrist about it. Along with medication psychotherapy will help you feel calm. With a psychologist you can talk about your lifestyle, eating habits, water intake, caffeine intake, and sleeping pattern. With a psychologist you can also talk about your childhood and relationship with family. A psychologist will determine if certain lifestyle changes are needed to help you feel calm. To feel better talk to your psychiatrist about nightmares and consult a psychologist for counselling sessions. Do not worry with counselling sessions you will feel better. Do take care of yourself.

Another theory is that recurring nightmares may have given our ancestors the chance to practice detecting and avoiding danger. People who are under more psychological stress tend to have more negative recurring dreams, although a lack of stress is not related to having more pleasant recurring dreams.
