New born jaundice
Hi doctor. My son age is 28 days. He has juandice. We gave phototherapy on 7th day for 2 days and at the time if discharge his billurubin levels are 11.0 after discharge it increased to 13.6. LFT,scanning were done now. Abdominal scanning is normal. Direct billurubin level was normal now but indirect billurubin level is 8.7. Why is this so? What is happening with my small one I am worried. Pls suggest me what to do

If your baby is gaining weight, passing stool normally,accepting breast feeding then this level is supposed to be normal.
I think you should rule out Thyroid problem.
