My baby is just a month old and my mother in law wants to give him balguti for his cough with my milk. Cough happens due to unclean environment and putting baby without clothes in direct fan.. I have asked normal pediatric they have suggest not give anything before 3months get completed as baby's immunity lungs and everything is developing. So I just want to reconfirm from ayurvedic doctor for the same concern

Balghuti js safe and u you can give it there is no problem! But give in a very small amount- to a size of sarso seed...and give repeatedly !
Start giving following medicines by rubbing it 2-2 times on a piece of stone -
Shunthi( dry ginger)
Black pepper
Pippali
Any of them is fine!

Consult with pediatrician. Because your baby is too small.
If he is taking your feed then please don't eat rice,curd,milk,maize roti.any such things which increase cough.
You can give a drop of jaiphal with your milk but before giving jaiphal to your baby, boil it in milk for some time then rub it on a rough surface , take one drop and mix it in your milk and give it to the baby.
In babies respiratory disorders are more as baby's lung still in a developing stage. Balguti includes a lot of medicine better to not give it to a 1 month baby.
