Nevus of ota
Hi, I have been diagnosed with nevus of Ota on left side of my face. This is in form of pigmentation. It has increased rapidly in last 6 months. Doctors have suggested to go for ND Yag laser. Can anyone please help me with the details of this treatment, time required and how much does it going to cost. Also can anyone please help me with some videos of this laser treatment, so that I could know also pre and post situations before going for this laser. Many Many Thanks..

Thanks for the query. A skin biopsy or a dermatoscopy should be performed to full proof the clinical diagnosis and to access the depth of pigmentation. This will also give an idea about the degree of success that can be achieved after Q-switched Laser therapy. Sometimes it has to be combined with fractional CO2 lasers and combination yields better results. The best Q switched machine is Revlite presently. It usually takes a few sessions for appreciable clearance, say 6 or 8. Each session may cost you around rs 6000-8000 depending on the machine standards and competence of the dermatologist performing it. I do not share the photographs of my patients, so will not be able to accommodate that request of yours. Hope it helps you.
