Neurogenic hypertension
Can neurogenic hypertension due to excessive release of catecholamines be cured. Adrenal CT and brain CT for pituitary revealed no abnormality. Still high level of catecholamines in the system as confirmed from blood culture+24 hr urine test.Pls help.

Renal denervation is an option of treatment Get also a bilateral renal Doppler done to see the renal arteries If renal Doppler is normal and you undergo renal denervation and it also doesn't help you will have to be on life long drugs Also a possibility is some occult malignancy Causing ectopic production of catecholamine So this should also be ruled out Dr Ashish Srivastava General Physician & Clinical Cardiologist
