Nephrology problem

Asked for Male, 65 Years

Father has facing left kidney problem ... Ago 15years had 2surgeries (kidney stones) Now pain coming left side We checked at local hospital They done all blood tests every thing ok but creatinine is 2...it's some problem to kidney..it's working slowly...so they told keep rest nd maintain diet ...don't take pain killer tablets... My question is take rest enough?any surgery need? And how long time kidney works properly?
