Hello doctor,
My niece is 6 days old and has jaundice since last 3 days. Her eyes and face is yellow.
Today her urine is dark yellow. She's passing stools twice a day and urinating 3-4 times.
Is the jaundice dangerous something we need to be worried of?
Note that she's born at 37 weeks.
We are visiting the hospital this morning...
Need advice on what we can do to help the baby

Some amount of Jaundice is normal in newborns and is harmless. Normal jaundice may last upto 14 days Very high levels are dangerous. Whether to give treatment or not depends on many factors - level of jaundice as per day of life, blood group of mother, other symptoms. Your Pediatrician will look at all the factors and decide whether treat or not. Usually no treatment is needed
