Need to check if Lasik can be done
Hello Doctors, This is regarding Eye power +7.50 for my spouse aging 36 having Cornea thickness 516 and 530. For her we are thinking Phakil IOL surgery which is higher than Lasik, in treatment and costs both. I want to know two things 1) if still Lasik can be done with the above data. 2) What should be estimated cost for IOL surgery for both eyes.

Phakic IOL / ICL surgery is better options where LASIK surgery is not recommended.    Although it is a costlier but qualitatively better option.

Hello, according to the given information 1. LASIK can be possible 2. If the goal is to become spectacle free then, because of the age she will be getting glasses for near vision in another 5 to 6 years and also in the long future cataract is another thing to anticipate. So it would be preferable to go for phakic IOL without disturbing the cornea. 3. Pricing depends on organisation and type of IOL so do your research. But discuss well with your eye doctor and make your own choice.
