I am overtly attached to my best friend, so much so that I think I am in love with her. And I am not able to concentrate on any other work if I ever get into an argument with her or she is angry with me. Nothing affects me as much as her words and actions and I don't know what to do.

Hello,
I can empathise with you... But see it's important in a relationship to have mutual and similar affection... It depends on how your friend is responding to your changed behaviour... Take a break.. Talk to her clearly about it .. If she doesn't want to continue like as you want then don't feel bad.. As everyone has got right to say NO.. No explanation required..you have to start focusing on your career.. Studies etc... Take up a hobby, play sports.. It will keep you busy.. Ok
You can consult your psychiatrist and discuss about psychological counselling... It will help for sure..
