I think you got the answer about the difference.
You are already under the treatment of psychiatrist for medication support.
Your issues can be well treated with counseling sessions and medication if required.
Homeopathic Treatment would be the best solution for your concern as it doesn't have any side effects or any addiction.
Look for Homeopathic psychiatrist and counseling psychologist for your case.

There is sure difference, generally counselling psychologists just follow counselling approach to treatment a school of therapy propounded by Carl Rogers.
Clinical psychologist Is a licensed psychologist as per Indian Rehabilitation act RCI.. They do assessments, diagnosis, and do all spectrum of therapies including classical psychotherapy.
Psychotherapist by definition is the therapist trained in Freudian psychoanalysis.
Rehabilitation psychologists work more with disabilities like ID, cerebral palsy, autism.. There are diploma and degree courses available in all.
However, as far clinical psychologist u need to do two years rigorous clinical training and supervison in therapy which is 400 hours, case studies, discussions, assessments, thesis then after qualifying the degree they are licensed by Rehabilitation council of India. Who give them CRR No.
Next Steps
Always check credentials to avoid exploitation.

In India there is lot of malpractice and muddling of boundaries. Every person who is even maybe distantly related to psychology and calls himself clinical psychologist.... And this has bad impact on mental health professionalism. Because in India we don't see any such tough rules for malpractices, especially those who don't prescribe medicine.
Even Indian association of clinical psychologists even older than RCI.. Doesn't act strictly with malpractices on name of our own profession.
Hi... What professional is best for you depends on what issues you are going through. ADHD is a condition which is usually diagnosed early in life. Its treatment requires medication and talk therapy both. Try going to a clinical psychologist if you think your issues are more clinical (medical model) in nature. Try going to a counselling psychologist if you think your issues are more of psychosocial nature. Try going to a psychotherapist if you want to understand the deeper issues that may have caused your presenting concerns. Try going to a Psychologist if you think your issues are more philosophical and life's struggle related. 'Consultant' psychologist implies the nature of employment and not a specialization.
Please note, I have tried to answer query of a 21 year old young adult in simplistic and laymen terms. This in no way explains or compare various psychological specializations.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist that you think you can open up with and share your concerns freely.
To be Frank and to my knowledge, almost all are similar..
I would rather suggest, to look whether those consultants are qualified Psychologist or not..
Hello
