Need help on treating Trigger thumb
Recently, I have noticed that I have developed which I believe is known as Trigger finger. My right thumb is painful when I try to bend / hold some object / lift something. Sometimes the joint locks in bent position and I have to push it back to straighten which is extremely painful. The problem is severe in the morning when I get up and used to subside during the and it starts coming back in the night. On some days, during the day time I felt it's not there. But last 2-3 days I can feel the pain during day time as well but severity is lower. Pls advice how to treat it. Also, i see a similar thing in the ring finger of left hand. But it is not paining but only have trigger feeling when the finger is bending.

There is local inflammation of tendon which is going towards the finger alongwith local obstruction by the  ligament pulley.. This is the reason for Trigger finger..
Next Steps
You may start with hot fomentation,  take analgesic and anti inflammatory medicine..  Physiotherapy can also be started.. If the problem persists, you may require local steroid injection.. that will help in reducing the inflammation.. If the problem persists or recurs, then surgical treatment may be required in few cases..
Health Tips
Use a splint for support to avoid flexion of finger..
