Bronchitis simply means an inflammation of thebronchus, the windpipe. This is usually caused by infection (viral, bacterial, fungal, etc) or allergy or both.
Causes of bronchitis
Allergy (environmental and industrial pollutants, pollen, etc.)
Tobacco
Infections (viral, bacterial, fungus)
Immunological
Exposure to temperature changes (extreme cold, change from cold to heat and vise versa, etc.)

My suggestion would be that you consult a pulmonologist in oerson for further evaluation and management.
You will also need a recent x-ray for better management.
