Nee born - 22 days,- Gas problem
Hi Dr. My son is 22 days old, he is facing gas issues. We are trying to burp after every feeding but sometimes he does not release the gas and starts crying if we keep trying to release the gas. He passes urine 8-9 times a day and stool 3 times a day. Please suggest what can be done.

Hello ma'am Crying for few minutes in a day is normal for a 22 day old baby As his urine output is adequate and he is passing stools 3 times that is normal for his age Cry may be due to uncomfortable clothing hence use only cotton cloths Cry may be due to wet nappy better to check and change it frequently Better to avoid medicines Bonnispaz drops by Himalaya is a better alternative

On bottle feeding, than to avoid bottle and it will improve drastically. Colicaid drops can be given, 5 drops of cries for more than 30 minutes. Several home based treatment can be done, better to take a consult.
