Neck swelling. Work infront of pc.

My wife has back neck swelling for more than one week..She has some swelling around the neck also..She has occasional pain in that area..It is there whole day but subsides at night..She has to work whole day infront of desktop..I consulted a general physician who thought it was infection in lymph nodes and advised anti bacterial antibiotic Opox along with calpol 650 and deslor...However, there was hardly any change in pain and swelling...Then we showed to ENT as well as we felt minor swelling in throat but that didnot help either..We then thought it might be spondylitis but no so sure...Please advise since she is having trouble with sitting for a longer time with neck pain during work infront of PC.
