nail polish removers contain Acetone. They are not toxic, but it can cause chemical burns in some. Exposure to acetone can dehydrate the nail plate, cuticles and the surrounding skin – nails can become dry and brittle, and cuticles can become dry, flaky, red and irritated. It may resolve spontaneously or may aggravate if left unattended. Consult a Dermatologist for the same and corroborate with pictures for reference.
