Nail Brown Strip
My name is Vijay. I am having a brown strip on my left hand thumb nail from more than a year. As it was not changing at all, I ignored it. But last week I have observed a ridge on my nail. It is there exactly on my brown strip. I just googled about this and I found some disturbing results claiming a possibility of cancer. I need to consult with doctor.

Hi.. Greetings. Yes.. You'll find that if you Google. But these lines are normal in many people of African and Indian origin mainly due to their dark skin type. This is called melanonychia. So don't worry, just leave it as it is. If u r too concerned you could take a second opinion from a qualified dermatologist near u. Hope this helps. Warm regards.
