My sister recently met with an accident and she had a brain injury. Initially there was internal bleeding now there r clots. She is shifted to Ward n no surgery required but it seems like she is not recognizing us or understanding basic things like going to washroom. She keeps screaming. Dra said it will ltake time. I want to know what we as a family can do to help her recall it all

Injured brain especially on left side will have memory loss and speech problem. It takes 3 to 4 weeks for clot to resolve. Recovery may take 3 weeks to 6 months. In first 3 weeks she may not identify family members as healing of brain occurs memory will come back. Ur role starts post hospitalisation make her mobilize in home gradually she will recur depending on injury severity
