My father's Psa is 9.5 ng/ml
My father's Psa was 13.16 ng/ml in Dec 2015, measured 4*3.2*3.7 cms.and bulky in size, normal shape and shows Heterogeneous echo texture. suspicious small 3 mms vascular nodule seen in the right peripheral zone of the prostatic parenchyma. No focal lesion seen. The weight is 25.43 gms. Now 9.53ng/ml. in 2017 also measures 3.9*3.1*4.3 cm volume 28cc.DRE done, doctor suggested for Biopsy . A few doctors said no for Biopsy as it increases the cancer much faster if it is. No pain,Age 71,sugge

I think you should Go for free and total PSA As value of PSA is in grey zone which is 4-10 ng/dl There is no risk of increased malignancy due to biopsy Whoever said this to you is absolutely not right as per literature
Next Steps
please go for MRI pelvis with 3T MRI and prostate biopsy if there is suspicious area and PSA ratio less than 0.11
