My Fasting sugar 170 & HbA1c is 8.8.
Recently I checked with diagnostic center. Results are as below: Fasting sugar 170 & HbA1c is 8.8. Ht: 179 cms, Wt 74 Kgs. Total cholestsrol 215 mg/dl Age: 40 Years, Male. Vegetarian. Doctor told to change the life style. Already I am taking balanced diet with Active exercises. He has not prescribed any medicines. Can you suggest.

It always best to improve further. Perception about balanced diet and exercise is often poor in my patients. Please see a dietitian and also intensify your exercise. If sugar control still remains poor it is fair to start treatment. Further if your diet and exercise is not as expected by a doctor your diabetes control may be difficult even with tablets
