You are a high myope... so that puts u at risk of a lot of eye problems like glaucoma and retinal detachment. It is imperative that u consult an ophthalmologist every 6 months so that these problems can be prevented. You are young and have your whole life ahead of you. Dont lose hope so early on. Post any medical reports u may have so that we can guide u better. U may be a candidate for refractive surgery which can solve some of your problems.

People don't go blind because of high numbers. However, your retina will be weaker than a normal person, so it should be checked by an eye doctor once a year. Any preventable issues can be dealt with, also he will advise you on different modalities of correcting the number.
