My dad age 70 yrs having Joint pain
Hello Doctor,
I'm writing from Gulbarga, Karnataka. My dad aged 70 years suffering from joint pain both legs. we have consultant to doctor and suggested joint replacement.
Because of fear and age he is not ready for surgery. He is taking following ayurved tablets (Rumawin oil, Bonrich capsule, orthother). I fear this might contain pain killer.
Please suggest some alternate treatment.

Your father is suffering from osteoarthritis of knee joint. First we need to see his x rays of both knee, then let me inform you that the so called pain killers are also anti inflammatory drugs, thus they also reduce pain by this effect, there are safer options available for long term use, moreover, active lifestyle need to be followed.
