My child is having Nephrotic syndrome
Hi, my son is just 15 months old. He is suffering from Nephrotic syndrome - body swelling, less urine etc. 3+ protein in urine.
dr prescribed omnacortel fortre twice a day. he is taking it since last 8 days. now body swelling almost disappeared, urine is normal, approx 1+ kg weight loss. but still 3+ protein in urine. please help me with your valuable suggestions. for your information, we are doing dipstick test using morning sample. thank you very much in advance.

If its first episode only then you have to continue Omnacort with same doses for 6 weeks, whatever the urine albumin report shows. Thereafter you have to change doses for next 6 weeks. Your son is showing response. His urine albumin become negative in this week. Continue monitoring this on डेली basis.
