There are many reasons why your skin would turn dark. Sun tan, overweight, pigmentation disorders like acanthosis or melasma, nutritional deficiency etc are some conditions. Unless someone examines you, we cannot know the cause. Unless we find out the cause it is difficult and pointless to treat. Please call me or send photos with detailed history using online consult option for proper treatment.

The causes of increase pigmentation on the face and neck can be because of acanthosis nigricans which is seen in patients with diabetes and increased insulin resistance if you have a family history of diabetes you should get yourself checked and evaluated for the same apart from this that are also other courses like lichen planus pigmentosus, rhiels melanosis, friction dermatitis, etc. A thorough examination and evaluation would be required to accurately comment on the cause. You Can visit me at my clinic or visit a qualified dermatologist in your vicinity. Hope This was helpful.
