I can understand your concern.
First of all, clean the wound with running water and apply a ointment like metrogyl-p over it.
If your dog is not vaccinated, then get him vaccinated and get yourself also vaccinated for rabies.
But if your dog is vaccinated, i do not think its necessary for you to take vaccination. But to be on a safer side, a whole course of vaccination shouldn't be a issue.
