My 14 year old baby stopped saying words
Please advise as I am concerned for my daughter who had started saying " ba ba", ma ma", pa pa", "bye", "hi", "Bu", "Bhau Bhau" at 12 months of age. And since her 13.5 months, she has stopped saying all these words and just do actions or point out to the things she wants however understands and responds to everything but only by actions. Now she has turned 15 months old and the situation is same. We talk to her a lot. Even try so say words very slowly and asks her to repeat but she doesn't even try. Although she makes long sound when she is excited like "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" or "ooooooooooooooooo" or "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". Thats all. I am concerned. Me and my husband use to talk to her in English and my in laws use to talk to her in hindi. Is this the reason she is getting confused and not speaking? Please help if I should visit a speech therapist or this is normal and she will again start speaking. She doesn't have any hearing problem.

You should have some company of children of a similar age group as your child.  They should talk among themselves or with your child. Your child will also start talking. It is only the stimulus from other children of the similar age group.
