My son is 4 and has speech delay ( learning and IQ is good and all assessments have been done) which is why some blood tests were done as advised by his new doctor. One of which was MMR antibody. My son has received MMR vaccine and his current Mumps Igg is >300 and Igm is 2.70 ( range indicates positive for >1.1) Does this indicate current infection. He has no symptoms at all. The tests were done on 24/07 and reports received a week later. Is it possible that he has an infection without symptoms? Can a kid get mumps even after vaccination?

1 st thing is speech delayed i think for that you have done all assessments so doctor must have explained it well
2nd thing is Mumps report. For which i would like to know how many dose of MMR you have taken ? Is it MMR or MR? When last dose of MMR was taken?
IgG report is past infection or immunity develops
IgM report is current infection or recent infection or recent immunisation.
