Multi drug resistant (MDR) TB
Hello my sister got diagnosed with MDR TB last month and she is under treatment I want to know till how much time she is contagious ? Doctors has told her 2 years treatment

Complete her treatment and she is contagious around 6 month ,avoid direct contact with her And don't ignore her ,talk to her .

She will be contagious for 3-4 weeks after starting treatment. Kindly continue treatment for 2 years or till she is tested negative for TB

She is not contagious. But still avoid direct air to air contact . Ask her to use mask

Yes you are correct because your sister is suffering from multidrug-resistant tuberculosis and usually she can spread the tuberculosis through airway. But the exposure percentage is less compare to non resistant bacteria. Please take care of your other family members and go to any nearby government or private hospital and go through the priliminary and diagnostic tests  as a precautionary measure for your family members. She is contagious till she get sputum negative. After dat no issues. Pls ensure complete treatment is taken.
