Mucolite LS drop is not available
My baby is 6month 15days and 7.6kg .
Had cold and cough... Doctor suggested mucolite ls drop 1.5lm and calpol 1ml ... Mucolite ls drops which is not available any where only mucolite Ls syrup is available or dropa without LS, just mucolite drop is available ... or should I give ascoril ls drops..
is this same percentage and content has mucolite ls...
Or should I give mucolite ls syrup only(since drops not available) is this safe .. how much should I give for 6month and 7.6kg baby...
Please give some suggestions.. consulted doctor not available for few days...

If mild,avoid unnecessary medicine and just give steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down.
Use paracetamol drops for fever if required.
If not improving OR accompanied by other symptoms like wheezing or breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed,consult another paediatrician asap.
