Sugar doesn't seem to be under control.
Please get urine examination after meals .
And Also get Hba1c checked. That will give you the report of average sugar level in past 3 months.

I think you mean cataract and macular hole surgery. 272 mg/dl post prandial blood sugar is very high. Meet your diabetologist/physician and ask him if insulin can be started if not already on it. Blood sugars should be atleast less than 200mg/dl before surgery.
