Mosquito bite
My son had been bitten by mosquito yesterday at four spots under knee area. The marks are very red and itchy.i m scared that it might be dengue bite.is it necessary that such marks are always indicative of dengue. And if it is dengue then is it always that if mosquito has bitten you will surely suffer from it.

There is no association of marks and no way of guessing dengue occurrence based on mosquito bites . It’s a mosquito not a snake it doesn’t leave diagnostic bite marks . Yes dengue is caused by anopheles mosquito. But you can’t preempt the infection based on the marks . Insect bite may cause itching and redness . Just apply some soothing lotion over bite marks .
