A missing intrauterine device whose threads are not felt by user patient. Patient has to show to gynaecologist. On internal examination and per speculum examination gynaecologist can assess position of the IUD and then if necessary pull it out and install a new device with threads or pelvic ultrasound can be done for exact location of missing device in case device has translocated higher up in abdomen.
