If you are sexually active such a missed period may be due to pregnancy . You need to first check up whether you are pregnant and this is done by sending an early morning sample of urine in a laboratory. If the result is positive, you are pregnant and will need to consult a gynecologist for abortion, if you decide on it.
How ever if you are not sexually active or the test comes negative you can wait for the menses to come or go to consult a gynecologist for irregular periods and to get medicines for it.
Next Steps
Do a UPT using an early morning urine sample. DO NOT DO IT ON HOME TESTS KITS, as many of these give false positive and false negative results
Health Tips
If you are sexually active, it would be prudent to use condoms at every act of sex.
