Minoxidil solution causes folliculitis?
Minoxdil uses for hair growth,but is there any cause of adverse effects by Minoxidil solution? 1) few years back in 2014 & 2015 I used minoxidil solution for almost 8 months to 1 years But later in 2018 & 2020.I have been suffering from folliculitis,is this caused because of Minoxidil in past? 2) propylene glycol causes irritation & redness & folliculitis because of ingredient in minoxidil.is that true? Does minoxidil cause any side effects like Irritation & itching & folliculitis which i have been faced through In the past? Does minoxidil really cause side effects like folliculitis and redness in scalp? Does minoxidil  promote more sebum on scalp.please clarify regarding side effects of minoxidil in above queries sir/madam?

Some itching flaking dryness is expected. Folliculitis is more of an infection less likely with minoxidil unless u have scratched badly and got secondarily infected. However it is short lasting and easily managable. If you are having more severe and recurrent issue needs to be treated and not related to minoxidil. Avoid oiling scalp. Oil can cause

Minoxidil does not cause folliculitis. Scalp has to be examined and proper diagnosis has to be done . It can be treated. You can visit us or do an online consultation for a complete analysis and to decide the further line of treatment .
